We offer a small group enrichment programs for our 4’s and 5’s. This allows your child to supplement the preschool experience with extra time of hands-on study in math, science, reading as well as arts and crafts. This program is designed to complement our core program to meet the needs of those children who are anxious to “dig a little deeper”. The Christ UMC Preschool Enrichment Program will offer your child opportunities to:
- Enjoy a cooking class in the kitchen.
- Explore the outdoors with magnifying glasses and create nature projects.
- Create individual and group art projects for display at preschool.
- Go on themed scavenger hunts with their teachers.
- Expand mathematical thinking during math weeks: number recognition, patterns, sequencing, and simple addition.
- Perform science experiments to enhance problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Further develop core reading skills, vocabulary, and verbal expression.
- Enhance sportsmanship, cooperation, and following directions with an assortment of games.
- Learning through play… Most importantly have fun!
